Im in the military and I am currently stationed in the Middle East. I cant give specifics. Over here, on average, its 115 degress per day, not to include the humidity that the Gulf loves to gives us which makes the temp feel like 140 degrees. For what I do, I dont have an air conditioner or a fan for 12 hours of my shift and I have to wear all my gear (Flak Vest, Helmet, weapon, LBE, etc....). All I can do is drink LOTS of water and hope to make it through the day.

Wow...I consider myself among the lucky ones.
Here in the Portland Oregon area it's been a very mild summer...unlike previous summers where the temp has been up around 100 for a lot of days, this summer we barely get a day or two at 85 degrees. At the moment it's 57 with an expected high of 75...very, very comfortable.
I feel for you folks in those hot areas of the country, of which there are many....stay as cool as you can...
BUT, should we complain? A SALUTE TO OUR MILITARY!
Like the poster above me, those in the Military serving in Iraq for example, are exposed to temps around 115 degrees every day and wearing all their military gear...with nowhere to find any relief except to drink lots of water.
Here we have our A/C, our fans, our swimming pools, etc...
NO, it's not our place to complain, that's for sure.

Come to my house.
We'll go down the street to the beach.
I'll fix us a picnic lunch.
It doesn't go over 75 here.
What are you waiting for?
