Love it.
Although admittedly, I prefer to swim under the water. I am a certified scuba diver, and am endlessly fascinated by what occurs and lives under water, both fresh and salt. I would, if given a chance, spend my entire life living on and in the ocean, exploring the wonders.

Have you ever had the oppurtunity to interact with a dolphin in it's natural habitat? See an octopus hunt. Even swimming with sharks (with the appropriate precautions) is one of the most amazing sensations ever. And the sense of freedom is indescribable. I hate having to surface.

So yes swimming of all types is wonderful, the only sad note is how fast our species are trying to destroy the oceans and all the diversity within.

Swimming is my preferred form of exercise. In the summertime I like to swim in the ocean and during the winter I go to the local pool.

Recently I learn to swim and my coach tells me that I'm doing very well. Though I can swim freestyle and backstroke I find freestyle more tiring and less fun than the backstroke.

Certainly, provided the water is nice. I really prefer recreational swimming, though, you know just fun stuff. I much prefer to go down and fetch pennies or rubber rings and blow bubbles and so on than to tire myself out swimming back and forth in the same manner for hours.

EDIT: PENNIES, dammit!

Love it, love it, love it!

Only problem is that I never learned how yet. I go out and get in the water, splash around, try to float, and generally have a GREAT time, though. One day, I'll learn how to truly propel myself in the water!!! :-)
