Ten minutes is usually the prewarming time. When it reaches the required temperature it will shut off until the temperature needs to increase again to stay at the set temperature.
Are you certain it is actually shutting off or has just reached the set temperature?

Hi - Gas oven? If so, it could be that the oven has reached temperature and the flame has reduced to such a small size that you can't see it (there's often a metal plate in front of the flame). Alternatively, it may be a faulty thermostat or thermocouple. The thermocouple senses heat and allows the full flow of gas to the main burner. If the thermocouple is faulty it will not allow the full flow of gas to the burner. You will be unable to light the oven at all or it may go out after a period of time. The thermocouple is a safety device that prevents the oven filling with gas when there is no flame present to ignite it. This eliminates the possibility of an oven full of gas exploding. It's more likely to to be the thermocouple than the thermostat. You need a gas engineer to sort this out for you.

if it's new and not due to break, it's probably the cooking timer set to cook for 10 minutes. If not, it's an electrickery problem..........
