Can you hook to the internet from the router with a wired connection? cause if you cant with wired or with wireless, then can you hook up straight from your internet? What type of internet do you have?

No, not for the moment.
I would suggest trying the following before:
1. is your Pc connected to your wireless router ? (check network status)
2. if yes, check the IP address of your PC. is not something like 192.168.X.Y then you might have limited connectivity. Try rebooting both your PC and your wireless router
3. Check that your wireless router is providing the right DNS and is properly connected to your ISP modem.
