Ive asked this before but it didnt solve my proble so..

I have a Suzuki Ts50 needing a stator plate.. And the cheapest and easiest option to me at the moment is a FS1E stator.. the both bike are from the same era and have identical fittings, size etc.

Any reason why it wouldnt/couldnt work before i make a purchase?

Thanks!

It would have to absolutely identical.
Any difference in the mounting lugs on the crankcase, the adjustment slots on the stator, the location of the charge and lighting coils and contact breaker, the charge and lighting coil air gap, will prevent it from working.

Buy one from a breakers or a non running bike from the free ads for spares.

If everything looks the same then there is a good chance it will work. Reason being is because they may have consolidated 2 part numbers into one. or they knew the two would interchange and just discontinued the less popular one. or they used the same one for several different applications and just changed the number ??? I have seen crazier things
