There is a tensioner that keeps the belt tight. Using the right size wrench, turn the tensioner to release the pressure on the belt with one hand, and slid it out with the other. Note how it goes otherwise, there is a white tag on the radiator support that shows you how to install it.

You will need a tool to release the tension on the tensioner pulley and follow the belt routing diagram that you see when opening the hood..... if you have not done this before or did not aquire the proper tool for the job you will have difficulty in completing your task...

I follow the directions in my manual.

ADDED:
There is a spring loaded tensioner and pulley that needs to be pulled away from the belt with a 1/2" breaker bar to allow the belt to be slipped off the pulleys.

Nothing needs to be removed.
