what can i do to look like im 11? (im 14) also audition tips?

im trying out for annie (musical) and im 14, small (5"2, 97 pounds) with wavy brown hair. im going to cut and die my hair if i get the part, but i need to look young for auditions, i already kinda look 12, but i just wanna make sure! also do you have any audition tips? what to wear? anything! i just apriciate any help!

fyi, i wear a 28 double a in bra size... i said i was little! :)

Innocence. That is key when acting like a child. Everything Annie says or does has an innocence about it. You must remember Annie's background in order to act like Annie. Use a young voice when acting. Young girls tend to have high pitched speaking voices, try to find a voice that sounds like a child. Annie has been through a lot, she is mistreated and overworked. Use these things as you act. While auditioning wear comfortable clothing and a solid color on bottom (black is best) with a brightly colored top (solid color). This will make you easily recognizable to the casting team.

I played Miss Hannigan a few years ago in a school play. The Annie they chose was blond.

I would recommend for the audition, for you to play her, when she was poor and lived in the children's home
At the audition you should wear a grey dress full of holes in it. It should look very worn out so it would be a good idea if you wear it around the house for a few weeks beforehand, like your own dress rehearsal. Adding an apron would be a bonus, although this one has to look equally disheveled.

Your hair should be loose and very messy so backcombing it is what you should do for the rehearsal. If you get the part and decide to dye it, use a temporary colour instead of a permanent one.

It would be a very good idea to go to the audition without any shoes. Walking through grass before hand barefoot will also give you that look of a poor child.

Your make-up should be discreet if you have to wear it. A few dirt marks will add to the illusion.

Also, your eyes should be wide open and alert because Annie has lots of energy, so get a good night's sleep.
