Look to right hand side of buttons and toolbars

Do you see a set of chevrons (>>) or a division and the word Address (| Address.....)?

If so, click on the chevrons or the division, if division try move down to an empty line in the toolbar area.

You may find that it will not move, then right click below menu bar and choose Lock Toolbars which should have a tick to the left of it.

Then move the division down and re-lock the toolbars so it doesn't move again.

go into your view > toolbar settings
hunt around to make sure address bar is checked
at the worst make sure the settings are unlocked and reset to defaults
In most cases the address bar is there
Just covered by something
Hunt around and drag various parts
It is most likely there- just covered by something else
If you have windows xp or that horrible product vista
You can use system restore to restore your windows to before this happened in time
Your data will remain intact

go start > programs > accessories > system tools > system restore > restore to an earlier time
pick a time before this happened

if you do not like the results you can undo your changes

while you're utilising IE 6.0 or later, acceptable click on any toolbars you have left (e.g. the nicely-known back, forward, residing house buttons) and there must be a small menu of verify boxes available. only verify the tackle Bar and you would be effective. besides, you could besides verify Lock Toolbars so sooner or later your toolbars don't get moved to someplace the place you cant locate it.

Click on 'View'. Go down to where it says 'Toolbars', and make sure there's a tick next to where it says 'Address Bar'.
