Perhaps forcible conversion to scientology is the only answer :P
lol, seriously I doubt any religion will ever be "banned", unless of course you mean Christianity, in which case give it 10 years max and it'll be illegal in this country. Where else did they try and remove religion from society, oh that's right, communist russia! Oy, I'm not looking forward to the bread lines. Do you think the labor camps will have places to sleep? Maybe I'll get to work alongside some of my favorite radio talk show hosts, that would be cool!

If you say that then you get all sorts of problems. Columbians been selling drugs in the US? Arrest some Lithuanians. Abortion clinics been bombed in the US? Well then go and arrest some Dutch. A Norwegian scammed you on ebay? Well it's obviously the fault of some Chileans. They're all Christians after all.
If you wish to punish the countries which have terrorists in you will have to punish the US and UK. Both have domestic terrorists. Use heavy weapons on your own population. Strafe downtown New York. Nuke London. Carpetbomb Paris. They all have terrorists in them. Even if you limit it to actually aiding terrorists then you will have to invade Saudi Arabia; a country the US spends billions arming, and the US' best friend in the middle east after Israel, amongst many other powerful and even friends of the US.
There are also plenty of Christian terrorists, and lots of people who advocate the murder and destruction of Islamic peoples - YOURSELF AMONGST THEM. You are spreading hatred against a group of people based SOLELY on their religion, in precisely the same way that Islamic extremists are doing. It is absolutely the same arguement; "they are dangerous, their religion/beliefs are wrong, they should be killed or converted." - with the exception that you insirt a western belief system instead of Islam.
Islam promotes no more criminality than Christianity. Christianity can be construed as a religion of violence, intolerance and hatred. Christianity says slavery is ok, women are property, unbelievers should be killed, conversion by the sword is the way to go, those who do not follow dogma to the letter should be stoned or burnt at the stake - if we're going to start saying that a religion is violent based on what's in it's holy book rather than on what it's followers believe you're going to have to list Christianity in your "violent cult" book.

No.
Because that would open a wasps nest.
Should Canada, Greece, France, Russia, Brazil, Portugal, Iceland and every other 'Christian' nation be held accountable for the deplorable act of the USA/UK invading Iraq?

Should all white people be held accountable for the crimes of racism by the few?
Painting anyone with such a broad paintbrush of ignorance only fuels greater anxiety, misunderstanding and eventually hatred among people.
Is that really what you want?

I don't have any problems with American Muslims. They're happy to be here.
I have a problem with American Marxists. They're pick-pockets.
