Hiding things and not telling things the other person expects for you to tell that you know IS expected. I don't think being secretive is very good. In the end, the truth comes out, and the outcome of this may not be so good compared to being open and not being secretive about things.

There's a huge difference between being secretive and wanting privacy. Being secretive implies there is something to hide. Wanting and needing privacy really don't have anything to do with being secretive. Make sure you understand the distinction.

Secretive; another form of the unknown which is both the creator and the destroyer of dreams. Nothing is ever gained by being secretive, especially with a spouse or significant other.Nothing is ever solved either, but life goes on wherther in a world of darkness or light

Being secretive that's common sense, not letting someone know what you are really up to. Think about it. If you are talking about a man/woman in a marriage/relationship being secretive common sense he's having an affair with another man/woman.

Not communicating. Not being around a lot. Giving vague answers. Closing the door. Being to oneself a lot. Those are signs that make someone believe that another person has something to hide.
