Simple!!! Run a virus scan, remove all the ad-ware/spyware, remove all unwanted programs, remove all unwanted programs which loads on startup, disable some animation effects on windows, remove the background image on your desktop, run a defrag, delete all unwanted/temp files. Guaranteed you will have a good speed improvement!
