Andaman Islands has a well developed tourist industry, thogh it has not yet recieved as much attention as other parts of India such as Rajasthan and Goa, among others. Indian Airlines serves Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands with a daily flight while regular ferry services are available from the Eastern coast of India, from ports such as Chennai.
You can get detailed information from any India Tourism office or Indian diplomatic missions. Andaman Islands was hit by the 2004 Asian Tsunami and is still recovering from the devastation.
Despite, it remains a popular tourist destination that offers excellent value for money.
