Bad idea. No matter how careful you are, you run the risk of getting pregnant and/or catching an STD. Are you willing to deal with a disease for the rest of your life? Are you willing to face the tough choices, decisions faced when being a pregnant teen? Having an abortion is NOT EASY....it's emotionally heartbreaking, and raising a baby while you are still a child is not easier either. All these things you risk everytime you have sex, even when you are in a committed relationship, you risk pregnancy and STD's. I had sex when I was 16, and it's not worth it. My stepdaugther had sex when she was 16 and now at 18 years old is married and raising a one year old child, hasn't graduated from high school, and is working fast food restaurant. Is that where you see yourself in two years? Young people always think, bad things never happen to them, and I'm here to tell you, they do happen. So make good choices, you only go around once.

I'm 16 too, and have the same dilema.
It probably is best to wait a while until you find the right person because its one of those "big things". Wait till you settle down with someone. Quite a few people have said to me to think of viginity as a gift that you can only give once. If the person is right for you they will be willing to wait!

The bigger question here is are you ready to be a father if something goes terribly wrong? Can you support a family? live? These questions allcme with the territory! and these are only the beginning, so do you still think youre ready? Unforseen accidents occur hundreds of times everyday all over the world. Think real seriously about the decision you are to make here!

Please wait, you will find that when you are older you will find that relationships are much more meaningful and when you meet the right partner the relationship between you will lead you to having loving sex.
I quick poke now will have no meaning for either of you and think of all the STDs that there are around.
Wait, --- there are plenty of other exciting things for you to do.

do it with someone that is worthy to take your cherry.. someone who wants to be with you not someone who just wants sex.. be careful too use protection.... if you were my daughter and you feel ready to be having sex id put you on the pill and have a right good talk to you as a parent id want you to wait but hormones do kick in so best to be prepared and open about it.... as 16 is the legal age im pleased you have been sensible so far as most rush into sex without a thought

First, understand the possible consequences of your actions;
pregnancy and the monetary costs involved (18+ yrs, not to mention the impact on others), potential STD's, etc.
Educate yourself, the power of your actions are in your hands.
Control your destiny and never rely on fate.
Age alone is not a qualifier of maturity.

If you feel mature enough and are doing it for the right reasons then dont feel guilty for it. but in the future you may regret it, i regret my first time, it was with a man who was out for what he could get and had no consideration for me.
is it because you feel its time or is it because your with someone you want to start having sex with?
every one takes sex too lightly, i did and so did all my friends. just think it through alot, but if your sensible, and if its right then it might be, then enjoy it.and as you prob know, be safe!

if you are 16 then in the UK you are legally old enough to have sex, but if you do show some respect and " USE A CONDOM ".... remember having sex is great !!! but done the wrong way (no condom) and it can soon turn into a disaster..
