Bootlegging is the proper term.

i think the word you are looking for is bootlegging. A bootleg recording is an audio and/or video recording of a performance that was not officially released by the artist, or under other legal authority.

neniaf is right - I believe it derives from the custom of British south coast smugglers who had specialpockets put onto their trouser legs into which to put bottles of wine, brandy, etc. Thus when you waded ashore and up to the waiting ponies there were no glassy chinking noises to give you away.
