My question wasn't defamatory or anything but got deleted with some kind of warning emailed to me. I was just sharing dinner table talk with him and asking whether he took it as a compliment. Please post your deleted questions here for all to consider. John's got a tough skin - tougher than Yahoo 's - he wants you to ask him to give the tough real human being answers (and we want to read them). This is Australia. We don't need the First Amendment to use the vernacular :)

Hmmmm..Good question.

Re removal of your q - I read it and can't remember anything that breached guidelines. I have reported 2 answers that I thought were extremely dangerous and a clear breach of the G'l but they are still there.

Seems like JH's office has a direct connection to Y!A and can get results quickly when a staffer reports those they don't like.

Me, I don't like the whole thing - I think of Y!A as a personal forum where real people ask and answer. I feel a sense of violation at having minders pretending to be the Man.

Anyway to answer your Q - I don't know whether my questions (cause there are two separate qs) would be deleted by Y!A cause maybe they wouldn't know enough to act. However, they would go something like:

For a conservative Australian politician who supposedly espouses Australian family values, why do you never give us you views on the sanctity of marriage and fidelity in relationships?

Are your real life and your image inconsistent in any way?

Joe

I am not aware of what the question was but I feel that if it was deleted because it was in conflict the guidelines it e cannot be said that it was arbitrary action. If thequestion related to the action takenagainst the Indian doctor from Bangalore I also did not like it but then Australia is a sovereign country. We can hardly call its action into question

I think we should expose Yahoo's censorship.

I answered a question about dealing with illegal aliens and was sent an email warning me about it, but they NEVER gave me the rule I violated. I doubt they ever will.

It's like the IRS. They say you have to pay your taxes, but they don't show you the actual law, because there really is no law for people to pay taxes.

If you want the question to stay posted you will have to find a way to phrase the question so as not to breach any of Y!A TOS or Community Guidelines.... that can be difficult at times as it is near impossible to be at all controversial here. One thing... someone had to report your posting... Y!A doesn't usually follow the forums themselves. good luck

I understand, yahoo does not delet questions, they only forward them to people who answers them to the benefit of those who asked the questions
