My parents took me a lot when I was a kid. I remember going in my pajamas and my mom put a bunch of blankets and pillows on the back seat of the car for me because I used to fall asleep.
Dad would carry me in the house and put me into my bed when we got home. I liked the little speaker you had to hang on the car window and going to buy snacks at the snack bar. There were always cartoons before the main movie started too.
Your question brought back some nice memories!

Yes - there's three in our area and they are not as fun as they use to be when we were teenagers. The management hired security guards who over do their role. But being outside in the fresh air (when it's not too hot) and being able to relax in your car or back of a pickup truck with a nice cooler and then the occasional run to the snack bar - it's fun. Some drive in's let you use your own radio (portable) on their station for sound and it's very clear. Brings back a lot of good memories for us older ones. Especially the merry-go-round and playgrounds below the screen. Many times I was king of the word on the merry-go-round!

Oh yeah. those have been the days. p.c.. a cooler, deliver the hibachi and grill some burgers. We on no account rather watched the flicks, they have been all undesirable B variety video clips, so we in basic terms partied and was hoping to get fortunate. the terrific have been $5 automobile lots. it rather is outstanding how many human beings you may jam right into a VW computer virus, understand what I recommend. particular, too undesirable they do no longer exist anymore. We rejoiced. Plus, you may desire to smoke a scooby-snack:) How ever, we on no account snuck any physique in via the trunk, all of us observed that Cheech & Chong movie, probable at a tension-in. P.S. great place for making out, like going to the lake for submarine races:)

When I was a teen my daddy was the projectionist at the Drive-in. He used to let me bring dates and then he would park the car where he could have his eagle eye on me.

The drive in theaters were great in my youth, cold beer, hot women and steamy windows. The perfect night...
