(this is what he does when he is hungry) Anyway the next day he didnt eat food nor did he seem active and he didnt respond to anyone in my family but he usually does. Btw the water needs to be 75 degrees
Sometimes turtles do that they have mood swings just like us humans

give it a week or so and he will be fine, i dont recomend you taking him outside cuz it causes stress ><

take him to a vet after a week and hes still like that

best of luck!

could be a hundred things going on here. Does he have adequate sunlight or a UVA UVB bulb?
How often do you feed him and what? Store food or scraps?
What is the temperature in the tank?
Are there other turtles with him and how are they acting?
Is the tank big enough, what is the condition of the water, do you have adequate filtration and circulation, etc etc etc.

You need to call a vet or visit one if it continues. They have vitamins for turtles too at pet stores. He may just need a pick me up.

You probably Overfed your turtle, or It Over ate, that's all.
No problem.
Relax, Don't worry, Be patient.
It takes a while for your turtle to digest what you've fed him the day before. Reptiles sometimes don't need to be fed as often as once per day. Let him rest and he'll eventually start to beg you for food when he's hungry again. I'm sure he'll let you know by his behavior when he's ready to eat again.

In the mean time be sure his habitat is clean.

You don't have to knock on it's shell everyday and wake it up for feeding. :) What'll happen is as you walk by the tank, your turtle will actively look for you and start to follow your movements. (He'll Track You)
Let It Decide when feeding time is. Then You Feed It.

Oh btw, Please make sure you wash your hands well after contact with your turtle. It could save you from an unpleasant encounter with some of the bacteria they can carry.

a bulb of about50-75 watts should be OK,also feed him small feeder fish, like goldfish, wax worms, beetles, even water beetles if you can find them, but if he seems that sick,it's off to the vet for an antibiotic shot,it won't cost that much,if you care, please do this.having any kind of pet is no easy task.it is most likely a cold, also called rhinitis.which is the major infection in all types of turtles and tortoises.it can kill them if not treated right away, they take along time to get sick and along time to heal.also stop the supermarket food,if that's what it is.good luck.

You are not really telling us anything that helps. We need to know:
- species and size
- habitat description- size, set-up
- temps
- diet

This sounds like a basic 'sick turtle', which is often the result of poor over-all cares. I'd suggest going to http://www.austinsturtlepage.com for great care sheets and articles that can help.

Maybe he needs a friend? My daughter's fish got that way and she finally got him some friends and he seemed to be doing better.
