I agree with MG. Check how hot/cold your toe is compared to the toes on your other feet...if it colder call your doctor immediately Apply ice bag for swelling also (a frozen bag of peas in the fridge) (15 minutes off and on) raise foot on pillow as much as possible if continued pain call doctor.

You poor wee little toe is broken. The only thing you can for it is to tape it to the other toe, take some pain medication, ibuprofen helps, and try to rest is, wear sandals Tight shoes are going to hurt more. The best thing to do is apply ice, get a bowl of ice cream, a good movie and sit with your foot up, veg out for a day and relax.

You did the right thing by taping it to the next toe. That is the ususal treatment for broken toes. Keep your foot elevated when sitting. And I would recommend wearing sandals. Tylenol or Ibuprophen for the pain. And, as always, check with your doctor. Good luck. I feel your pain.

sounds like it is broken
the doctor won't do anything or a broken toe except what you all ready done by taping it to the next toe.
it may take 4-6 weeks to heal depending on your age(the older you are the longer it takes to heal)
take some Tylenol and wear open toe shoes and sandals for a while.

Its probably broken but the doctor won't do anything for it. Just tape it like you did. Don't wear shoes for now, just sandals for a while until the swelling goes down. You could put ice on it and get some ibuprofen for the pain.

It sounds like you bruised it real bad. I would advise you to wear sandles. Try not shoving your foot into a shoe if all possible. Keep tape on it and it will just take time to heal. There is really nothing that can be done for a very bruised toe.

It's probably broke. I got mine stuck in a slide (it was a roller slide) and it was broke. I went to the doctors because I was like you, I wouldn't step on it, and all that great jazz. they gave me motrin and told me stay off it. There's nothing really you can do for a broken toe.

It should be completely healed in about a month.

I would have a doc check on it. It's a good sign that it hurts, I would be more worried if it was completely numb. If you plan to ride it out for while at least push in your nail and pinch it occasionally. Make sure it has blood flow and you have feeling in it.
