Only time will tell. And from what I see, most Senator players are young like Heatley and Spezza. Who knows, if a guy like Edgar Laprade (yeah, Edgar who?) is in the Hockey Hall of Fame, then maybe a guy like Mike Fisher may even make it. The Hockey Hall of Fame doesn't do a very good job of selecting the right players. Players who have had turbulent off ice activity (thats Glenn Anderson and Dino Ciccarelli) don't get in and thats not fair. Getting a guy like Clark Gillies (way under a point per game in his career) in the Hall is completely ridiculous. Now I would say Anderson and Ciccarelli deserve to be in the Hall because of great numbers but only time will tell if they actually make it.
Over to Heatley, Spezza and a few other Senators: Spezza is the best bet to make it--for now. He has the numbers and PPG. He would have had 100 points the last two seasons if it weren't for injuries. Heatley: he was involved in the Dan Snyder car accident a couple of years ago. The Hall of Fame may be biased against Heatley because that tragic car crash (another one of those off-ice things). Alfredsson may be a Hall of Famer one day, I think in his case if he guides the Senators to a Cup I would say hes in. Hes been the face of the franchise for the last decade or so and he's Mr. Popular with the fans. None of their defencemen impress me except Phillips. Hes the best at getting the puck out of his zone and hes an underrated bodychecker. He doesnt have the offensive numbers like Redden maybe but his plus/minus is always solid. Reminds me of a Jacques Lapperriere of the old time Canadiens. Maybe Fisher might get in if he hovers around the 0.500 PPG mark--theres many players like that in the Hall. Depends what the selection committee thinks. By the way, the commitee changes every now and then, and I suspect that there's far too few of them to decide who's in and who's out. Theres only 18 on the selection committee board.

It's far too early to tell. No one on the team has made enough of a lasting impact to merit consideration
Alfredsson - averaging less than a point a game (0.968) in his career...over the last 30-40 years, this is one parameter that almost all inductees have had (not including inductees of the seniors committee like Dick Duff and Fern Flaman)
Heatley (1.098PPG) - off to a good start for a HOF career. If he can continue for another 8-10 years, we can discuss it at that time
Spezza (1.31PPG the last two years) - off to an excellent start to an HOF career. His PPG over the last two years ranks among the top 15 in NHL history if he can sustain it for 10-15 years.
None of the Defense is HOF calibre although Redden, Phillips. Volchenkov, and Meszaros make an excellent top 4

i like this question about my favorite team
o f course Alfredsson,Spezza,Heatley.
but Fisher,Vermette, and 21 year old Mezaros still have very bright careers ahead of them so they might have a chance. and also my idol that is no longer with the Senators MARTI HAVLAT will.

everybody's saying alfredsson... but i don't think he'd be able to go on skills alone. it's more likely if they win a cup. pretty much everybody else on that team is too young to tell. alot of them have the potential though...
