I'm 18, size 36E.. and very unconfident because with my size. I feel i look bigger because of the size of my breasts.
I've tried losing some weight, exercising... to see if they would shrink as i lost the weight but since doing so (exercising..etc) i've been getting extremely bad back pain, seems to be in the centre, down my spine.. it just hurts too much so now ive had to stop the exercise, and well... it seems i'm stuck...
I'm seriously concidering getting a brast reduction, not just because of my back pain (which i am sure they are the cause for), but for my confidence as well!

I was wondering if anybody knew how much a smaller exactly they allow you to go? (if you're given a choice)
and also if anyone has had a reduction themselves, has it helped you, have you had any regrets doing so???

THANK YOU

i couldn't choose my size but i trusted my doctor considering he's a very famous doctor and has done numerous breast reduction procedures - so i trusted he knew what would match me. he said big c small d because i'm a female with very wide hips so still having big boobs would match my hour glass frame more. i didn't think that was going to be a lot until after surgery when my breasts were so perky and my nipples didn't look like something out of national geographic magazines anymore. it took 1 week and i was out of my surgical bra, though in the beginning i will admit i was in A LOT of pain. you get these weird creepy crawly feelings in your breasts for a while and your bruised from the lipo under your armpits. you have to wear drains for one day which look honestly like grenades attached to your bra. it's helped my dramatically. my posture's improved and i'm already buying cute new outfits and wearing my triangle string bikini that i bought 5 years ago!!!!! i haven't had any regrets. just make sure you have 2 weeks AT LEAST to dedicate to getting better.

EDIT: by the way they took out 1500 grams or so in each breast, a total of 6lbs!

For sure get it done I wear a 40 DD and I know my back hurt all the time I actually thought about it for a while but I no longer have insurance so that is out of the question for me right now but maybe in the future I will be able to. Anyways you should talk to a reconstructive surgeon to find out all the information and what all it entails. Yes, insurance will pay for it as long as it's for medical reasons and not cosmetic. When you go to the doctor make sure you tell them about the back pain and look at your shoulders if you have indentations where your bra straps lie then you will be able to get it covered.

You can tell the doctor you would like to be a C cup, and they can try to get you to that size, but they do not know for sure until they open you up.

I went from a 38J to 38C and had five pounds taken off Feb2006.

I do not regret it one bit, and I am a much happier lighter pain free person!

This site helped me out a ton, please check it out!

You should definately get it done, the back pain could get pretty serious later on in your life. It depends where you go, but I'd suggest going down to a C.
