MY experience is that pain killers only make you not care you're in pain, or the mask it so you end up doing more damage by not paying attention to the pain...or they help you sleep which is the best way to heal.

I consider pain my body's way of saying "STUPID!! Don't do that!"

When I was healing from my car wreck, I stopped taking the pain killers except at night. I wanted to know where the "don't do that point" was when I was awake.

the body is like a baby, and it would scream when it needs something... pain killers are just like sutting up the baby without addressing the real problem... the body is calling for action, and pain killers no longer work...! it needs the balance back...

It means that all you need is time, but in my opinion time really CAN'T heal all wounds it only numbs the pain.

I had an injury for which that was true... UNTIL... I had acupuncture... For maintenance, I do Qi Gong and Tai Chi... I have been completely pain free for years ...

It could mean your body has developed a natural tolerance to the medication and it's not very effective.

hmmmm i can take this question 2 ways......
I'm gonna assume your talking physical pain.....and in that case i would see a doctor! but it also depends where the pain is....maybe its a sore muscle lol i dont know babe.......i tried =)
