Agree with you 100%
I'm a non-smoker BTW
(can't stand walking into a pub now through a cloud of smoke at the entrance!!!!)
Next, we will be banned from eating food in a public place!

I agree AND I disagree.
I'm a smoker, but however I do NOT smoke around CHILDREN at all period. I agree that it is bullsh!t that you can't smoke in a bar because that is an adult place and there shouldn't be any children in a bar to begin with.
But however, I totally agree with the "no smoking ban" In ANY other public place. Especially restaurants.
If however, there were places specifically for smokers such as bars, restaurants, movie theaters, etc. then NOBODY under the age of 21 should be allowed to enter without an ID proving that they are in fact over 21. Then people COULD CHOOSE if they wanted to be in a smoke filled place or not.

I have to agree. America has a habit of going from one extreme to the other. Just because non-smokers want clean air, they have made it illegal for me to even own a smoking establishment and I AM a smoker. If I want to run a business catering to smokers I should have the right. I THOUGHT that was the whole point of free enterprise. Non-smokers' do have the right to a smoke-free environment, but why can't I reap the benefit by having a smokers' environment in the midst? If we weren't valuable customers, the BUSINESSES would have catered more to non-smokers' long ago. Now they say you can only make money with your business if you support no smoking. Drinking is far more harmful. Stripping is far more immoral. I can drink(get drunk and kill someone), go see naked women(possibly purchase one), but I can't smoke in a bar/club in certain regions. That's just as retarded as not being able to buy liquor on Sunday...unless you're in a bar or strip club. lol
PS - I don't like how the president handles our country, but I can't just make wasting our resources on a Holy War that we have no part in illegal(no many how many supporters I have), can I?

The smart owner would ban indoor smoking and try and accommodate the smokers with an outdoor area if possible. If a person cannot get through a simple meal of a little over an hour without a cigarette then that is pretty pitiful. The smart owner will want their business doubled by catering to the non smokers.

As a non-smoker, I have no problem with establishments allowing smoking provided they provide a separate area for it which non-smokers should not have to walk through to get to the non-smoking section. In addition, they need to have a door and a wall between the two sections, so that the smoke doesn't drift. Just because someone's not blowing smoke in my face doesn't mean I'm not getting exposed to it, and I hate coming out of a non-smoking section with my clothes smelling like cigarette smoke because I had to walk through the smoking section to get to my table and the smoke drifts over there anyway.
Besides, honestly, if you can't lay off the cigarettes for the hour or less that you're in a restaurant, you've got some serious problems.

I am a smoker but I try not to smoke around people who don't. When I go into a restaurant, I want to taste my food not smell an ashtray so I don't have a problem with no smoking areas. When asked if I want smoking or non-smoking table, I will chose the non-smoking. I don't drink so I have no reason to go into a bar.
Note*.... My wife and I are in the process of trying to quit and have cut way back. Not an easy chore but we are gaining.

I agree entirely. The reason that the government got involved is because they say they are looking out for the health and safety of the employees and the non-smoking patrons. The employee issue is in their favor. The non-smoking patrons issue is not.
I too do not smoke or use tobacco products but feel it's everybody's right to use if they so choose. To much government will doom any "so called free society"! By the way I am THE ALL AMERICAN!!!!

i think it should be allowed in bars but in restaurants they should have a section that is for smoking only and a section that is non smoking. if you are a smoker and go out to eat and can't wait what and hour 2 hours max to not smoke thats a little sad.

Don't think so.
For indoors.
That will be wise to give others a break.
Look how we mess up the women's dress into ashtray.
When we were up close and personal with all the nice perfume smells all gone.
They too would not like to be up close an personal with an ash tray too.
As the smoking man learn a bit of self control and have fun outdoors.
