there is a very very slim chance that the actual test could be faulty and therefore give a false reading, but that doesnt mean you have the pregnancy hormone, that just means something was wrong with the test. but the HPT's are very accurate 99.9% of the time. take another test if you are worried that should help give you more answers, and if you just want to be completly sure, go to your doctor.

False negatives are a possiblity, but false positives don't happen unless the test is defective. You won't have the pregnancy hormone unless you are actually pregnant.

It is usually 99.9% correct.. so if you test positive.. no matter how faint the lines are.. you are pregnant! Its all in the mind.. some women who thinks they are pregnant (but not) will have those symptoms until the period comes.. and knock some sense into them..

if the positive showed in the time limit that the test said then it's a positive.
