After all it is not the sub-continent where fielding on continuous days may be tiresome.I thing he is wrong.

If he fails to win the test he must take the blame.Let us see if they go for quick runs to give enough time to the bowlers.

With rain threat and overcast sky, look how pathetic it looks now.Even Dhoni is forced to defend stoutly.Openings must be created and fortune will always favour the brave.

More than the decision to bat again,it is the way especially Dravid batted that looked pathetic. Sure enough he did the right thing and avoided facing a possible 30-40 overs on the last day.

Boss u r a true cricket enthusiast.IA timely question in double quick time' let's hope Indian batsmen emulate your speed in the matter of scoring runs fast in the second innings. It is absolutely right on the part of Dravid not to enforce the follow on. There are more that one factor behind his decision. He is enjoying a lead of 319 runs that is the first factor. The second factor is that one of England's strike bowler Ryan Sidebottom is reported to be not in a position to bowl now. So he wanted to make sure that he gives England a sizable target to chase & win in as little time as possible. The handicap of England in their bowling department can help India score quick runs in double quick time. In any case chasing a 450+ runs in the fourth innings is a herculean task. After Dravid has the option of playing for a draw which will give India the win in the series. So not a bad idea at all.

I do not think that the decision not to enforce the follow-on after getting the lead of 319 runs is correct. There is no question of bowlers tired as India had bowled only few overs today and the bowlers were more or less fresh. The only reason I can think of is that Dravid does nort want to bat last if case England overtake India's total and take about a lead of around 150 runs, which I consider as defective tactic.

I thought at the time it was wrong, make England bat 2days to save the test, instead England will have to do at most 3 and a bit seasons.

6seasons is hard, 3 is attainable.

With India's bowling lineup, give yourself as much time as possible, Should England get ahead 120 runs a session remaining, India could do that.

Plus the conditions were favourable for bowling as we have since seen, There was a gap between the tests, bowlers were rested, they didn't bowl that long, and a few wickets would quickly refresh them.

Now India has lost their momenteum for at most another hundred or two runs.

This move was done to make sure England couldn't win the test, to kill time.
India are not trying to win this test, they are trying not to lose it, which can been seen from their batting so far, nervous, and they have paid the price.

I Think You are Wrong! I think India Will give a 500 Target and then declare may be at tea or before to give a difficult situation to English players.Indian Bowlers will also have 5 sessions to bowl Which is more than 100 overs.

Dravid's decision is not positive and aggresive. He his a defensive captain ,wanted to ensure not a single chance of victory for England by not enforcing the follow-on.

A positive captain would have trusted his bowlers and enforced the follow-on,aslo there were over cast conditions and slight showers in the noon which our swing bowlers could have exploited. We missed some good chances to have a go at english batsman.

Surly it was a foolish decision by Rahul Dravid when they had a good lead of 300 runs then they should have gave a folow on some people are saying that that he wanted to give some rest to the bowlers or may be he was thinking of a century.

Yeah Rahul has taken a very good decision . This will definitely help the bowlers to have a go at the English lions. And on the last day the wicket will definitely become tricky.Which will help bowlers specially Kumble.

He is the dumbest thing on the face of this earth. The idiot di not want to bowl/field continuously b ut he should have used some sense that with suchj a lead it was only wiser to give longer time for bowling england out. after all one needs to account for such a play which we are seeing now also. I AM COONVINCED THAT DRAVID WAS PLAYING ONLY TO EITHER DRAW OR LOOSE
