Agreed. Ps3 is now the better choice. Up until this summer I could enderstand people buying a 360 still but now PS3 is hitting its stride and the games coming out look and are awesome.

I can't wait for Lair and Heavenly Sword,they look epic. Thats onething Sony has always had over evryone since they came into the market, innovative and fresh games. Look at all most popular franchises (other than Zelda, Mario, and Halo which are Nintendo and Microsoft respectively) : Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy, Medal of Honor, Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, Onimusha, God of War, Gran Tursimo, Metal Gear Solid, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Tomb Raider, Syphon Filter,etc. These are some of the biggest gaming franchises of all time and they all started or were continued by Playstation.
While a 360 is still a good game system I would recommend the PS3. Sony is the company always trying to push the envelope and go to thenext level. They make innovative games that set the curve, they don't follow thecurvelike most companies do.

Good luck. I recommend PS3 for overallas a better and more innovative machine.

the xbox 360 is a great console.but they are having hardware problems like the ring of death and disk scratching making the disc unable to use later.this is the main problem with it. the games are great but if the console doesn't work whats the use.llahma.com opened the 360 for the problems.the disc scratching is caused due to the fact that the lens does not have a rubber casing.this rubber casing prevents the disk from coming into contact with each others.this means that when the disk is scratched even the lens is damaged.this is most curious because that all normal dvd players have rubber casing.

the ps3 may have a short list of game library (for now) but it is definietly the better choice. oh yeah the ring of death is caused by overheating.its beacause people keep it in a closed place or close to other items blocking fresh air to come into contact.so the 360 overheats and the ring of death is displayed(instead of the green lights flashing when switched on,three red lights flash when switched on and this cannot be repaired.)
i have seen people getting their 6th 360 in a year. and thats thanks to their warranty or the customers will be a goner.go to youtube.com and check these videos if you want proof.

now the ps3 doesn't have hardware prblems amd has all the techies inside(blu ray hddvd is no use its the same as normal dvd,bluetooth,wireless controllers with motion sensitivity,wifi (the 360 charges 100$ extra),multi card reader ,upgradable hard drive ,etc)

THE 360 WILL BE EXPENSIVE ON THE LONG RUN (XBOX LIVE ,WIRELESS ADAPTER,ETC)BUT THE PS3 IS ONCE AND FOR ALL)
SO WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE - A CONSOLE WHICH WORKS AND WORTH THE MONEY OR A CONSOLE WHICH BREAKS AND COSTS MORE ON THE LONG RUN.

Xbox 360. There're tons more games out there and most of the 'big' games will be available on both PS3 AND xbox 360, with little difference between them.

The Ps3 has very little to tempt me to buy one, but I'm really happy with my 360 and confident that there are plenty of games either already out there or on the horizon that i want to play. Add to that the fact that the Xbox Live service is great and you've got a fantastic games system.

Xbox every time, in my opinion!

i dont know why people think xbox is better there not giving ps3 the fair ps3 has only just started so oblivisly there will be better games on xbox. 360's i have heard break alot and if you ask me ps3 is also cheaper you have 2 take into account the things that come as standard with a ps3 like hd dvd player (Bluray) on ps3 media card reader wifi and other stuff and before anyone says wii wii's suck the family games are only good for 3 year olds

The PS3 for pretty much the reasons the first guy gave.
I also think the PS3 will have a better range of games in time, it has better support from the big japanese developers, such as Konami, Capcom, etc, and Sonys in-house games developers seem more creative, or at least diverse, than Microsofts'.
