Witchcraft is a practice. Wicca and Paganism are religions, although many people who consider themselves either one would prefer the term "spirituality" to "religion" to differentiate dogma from individual beliefs. Not all Catholics attend church or take Communion, and not all Wiccans or Pagans actively practice Witchcraft.

Because many Pagan denominations put the burden of ethical interpretation on the individual rather than a governing body or other clergy member, practices and beliefs do vary greatly.

As a solitary (individual rather than group pracitioner) eclectic (believer in certain parts of more than one established Pagan, Wiccan and other faiths) Witch (practitioner of Witchcraft) I do feel the need to speak to a previous comment. No aspect of my faith condones murder or the abuse of other living beings. Murderers are murderers, be they of Pagan, Judeo-Christian or any other religious affiliation. Being a Pagan means, almost inevitably, that one assumes personal responsibility for one's spiritual and religious integrity. It requires a great deal of thought and dedication to truly follow this path, and most of us are not only civilized but also more active in our religious practice than members of established churches.

I think people in America went to a big trouble classing it as a religion. I'd go for religion, as with good Wiccan's/Pagans/Witchcraft people, I think they're following their religious beliefs, just like anyone else.

Witchcraft is a superstition.

I would be difficult to legalize the virgin raping and eating of human flesh. All that chicken blood could present health issues too.

Not a religion and not civilized
