If you are tutoring or providing private lessons, then buy the books yourself and add the cost into the tuition fees. This way you are guaranteed to have students with the correct text books that you want them to learn from and you eliminate them from blowing you off (drop you as an instructor) because they don't want to go looking for English books in the bookstore.

If there is an economic issue that prevents the students from obtaing the books, then I would provide them to the students. If there are no economic constraints, I would LOAN them to the students for use in the classroom until they could purchase their own. It is difficult to teach when 1/2 of students have textbooks and 1/2 do not. ANd it is also not fair to the students who purchased the books in a timely manner . They may harbor some resentment if they see you coddling other students. Make sure that the students who borrow books understand that textbooks are required to do the homework lessons and the loan program is temporary.

Good luck

If you have the means to pre-order the books, I guess you could supply the books to the students. If you need to use the books at a certain date, doing that would ensure smooth-sailing lesson in class. Students can buy the books themselves if they have no problem going to the bookstore. The top problem is procrastination :)

is better u supply them the books because some of the students might not have time to but, they might also take a long time to buy them.
if u but it for them, they just have to pay and take and start learning or refering the books

yah, u should give it to them.

because if they dont know and they cant figure out where they can get that book... theyd stop there for sure. They wont look for it anymore and worst, they wont be doing good in your class
