Yes, it's just for a couple of minutes. I can live that long.
I once saw a TV programme about family life in Russia. The new parents went to the registrar to name the baby, and were told "In honour of this important occasion ...... we will play the National Anthem" which I thought immensely funny. Our custom of christening the child and celebrating with a party seems so commonplace ........

Sometimes I don't even get up. I mean I have stood for it a million times, it gets kind of old you know. I always stand now though since we are in war and that is the in thing to do. I love my country and all but it gets kind of redundant.

I didn't once and I got punched in the arm by the person next to me. Of course it didn't help that I was standing in front of a large crowd about to play taps...

Certainly do, but I think that we should change it to Land of Hope and Glory.
No disrespect to her Majesty, but God Save the Queen has been regarded as a dirge for many years now and I think that Land of ........ would mean to more to the present population.

Yeah sometimes. I believe it should be that way as my teachers ever told us since grade school but sometimes it gets redundant. But its the country's pride so I do stand still... even sometimes.

Yes I stand up and i can't imagine anyone admitting they don't stand up. They don't know how lucky they are to live in a country ( AMERICA) where we have all the freedoms they need.

No.
But I would if it offended the people whom I was with not to.
Countries are divisions created by man to fight over.
