Okay...Butterbar bob? you would have someone who doesn't want to do any of these things in power? are you a fool? He can accomplish some things that are good and he is the only politician that seems intent on doing so. No matter if congress doesn't agree, At least he has the intent!

Ron Paul is favored by many voters because of his excellent views on critical issues like the lowering of taxes and his stance on the Iraq war.

What, he will wave his magic wand and make all this happen? He cannot singlehandedly dissolve the Federal Reserve, he cannot singlehandedly dismantle the welfare state, he cannot by himself reduce taxes by one single penny.

The presidency does not have the power to do so. And I can tell you that 75% of Congress would not support any of these proposals, regardless of their merit. So, Ron Paul would accomplish nothing of the sort.

Time to grow up and stop believing in fairy tales.

No, I am not a fool. I just consider it foolish to believe that anybody who espouses things that the majority of Americans and their representatives disagree with is somehow going anywhere. Ron Paul as the Republican nominee would guarantee a LANDSLIDE DEMOCRAT VICTORY, that would make Reagan's 1984 win look like a close call.

The majority of Republicans would not support a candidate who believed in running away from Iraq, and the majority of Democrats wouldn't support the dismantling of the welfare state.

So, who would vote for him? A few nuts.
