No, IMO. The parents' estate is theirs to do with as they see fit. If they choose to divide it between their heirs and relatives, that's their choice. If they choose to not do so, the law should fully honor and support that choice also.
I am not a big fan of children who contest wills. They have no more inherent right to their parents' money than anybody else.

IMO in the past children took on estates from their parents because they were living in a multi-generational communal arrangement.
If you pool your resources with your parents and live together in this fashion, I say yes.
In all other cases I think Mom & Dad should live it up & spend it all !!!

absolutely NOT my son was an absolute terror, made my life a living hell and i was extremely happy when he moved out. that was his choice to do so, no one held a gun to his head and frankly i would rather have my hard earned efforts go to the american cancer society than him if i passed.
