A Stephen King movie...I think it was 'The Stand' and throughout the movie they played the song, "Don't Dream It's Over. Is this in fact the movie the song is in and who is the 'original' artist who sang that song in the movie. I know that there are alot of remakes of the song but I want to know who sang in the movie. Thanks!

it's by Crowded House, and yes, it was used in The Stand

You are correct. It was The Stand and "Don't Dream Its Over" was recorded by the group Crowded House and that's the version they used in the movie.
