I don't think you really ever do. Times change people change. You will change too but you will probably never forget. Just remember the good times I guess.

On a lighter note maybe this will at least make you smile.
If You Love Something Set It Free
If It Comes Back, It Was And Always Will Be Yours.
If It Never Returns,
It Was Never Yours To Begin With.
f It Just Sits In Your Living Room
Messes Up Your Stuff,
Eats Your Food,
Uses Your Telephone,
Takes Your Money, And
Never Appears That
You Actually Set It Free In
The First Place
You Either Married It
Or Gave It Birth!

Buenos Dias, Linda. I don't think I would let go of my true love, if in-fact I knew he was my true love. That would just be something I would always repent of what I have done. But people say "Where there is love, anything is possible" meaning if it is meant to be you guys will eventually find eachother half way once again. I guess that letting go is one of the hardest decisions one has to make in life. Have a good day. :}

First of all, we need to establish the fact, that this CAN happen more than once in a life time,,,,
once that is established, it makes it a little easier,,,,
at least in my case,
I have let them go, or they have let me go,
but until a year or two ago,,,,,
I was always wondering, wishing and hoping that someday,
they would come knocking on my door, and we would be together again,. this time forever,,,,,
never happened,,,,
let it go.

After reading a few of the others here, I can see where they are coming from,,,,
the decision is solely yours to make,,,,
if they did pass, you may never get over it, but just have to learn how to deal with them no longer being here.
If that is the case, my heart goes out to you,,,,losing someone dear is life altering, I am sorry.
--if it were my love now,,,,,,
I would die without him,,,,,so I recant the earlier statement,
forgive my narrow-mindedness......
sometimes you have to walk in someone else's shoes, or at least step inside them for a moment, before you can say anything, I didn't do that at first,,,,

You won't ever really be able to let go. Those feelings you have will always remain, you will have to tuck them away, but I don't think you can ever really let go of a true love, hell I still think about mine from time to time, and will always carry that love I feel inside. It is painful, but with the love of friends and support of family you will get through the first phase. Be strong and things will be good.

Sometimes you have no choice, as they decide they are the ones who have to let go, leaving you wondering why?......
I guess deep inside we never let go of our true love - they live on within us.........
Sometimes we are given a second chance, but those are the lucky ones......
My friend would leap at the chance to reunite with her true love, but he has decided he needs to be with someone else - and so she must either wait for him to return, or painfully turn the page and move on with her life ......
I've come to the conclusion that there are times in life when love sucks .....

On good terms with no regrets. Sometimes we lose people and there is nothing we can do about it. The right thing usually is the hardest thing to do.

Don't do anything you might regret... an egotistic motivation is not true Love and brings pain emotionally to your ego.
If you had true love you wouldn't need to ask this question.
If you look to other human beings with imagination, you can make them Saints or Murderers and when you associate the imagination with the sexual stimulation that someone activates in you... you fall in love desperately.

I will never.

Even if Fate tell me it has to be ended, I will still have him in my heart forever and my true love shall be the last person I would ever loved. That's what is called True Love for me.

Oh sis what happened? Please don't say it isin't so?........Its hard to let go of your ture love in a way I don't think its possible at all. True love hits only a certain amount of time in one's life best to grab onto it and hold on with both hands and never let it go. If you have to let go then it was not true love at all now is it? ......Chin up sis I am here!
