Wouldn't that have just broken your heart! In stead she seemed composed and just said something like " I love her, but she knows that anyway!" What about I'm so sorry darling, that we left you!?

Poor wee Maddy. Her mother seems to be such a cold fish. If my daughter was missing, feared dead or abused, I would be hysterical, even after 100 days. I certainly couldn't sit through an interview like that, with little or no emotion, or stroll along the beach, or go out jogging, a swim in the pool or go and get my hair done.

Kate, please go home, and try and get some normality into your other children's lives, shower them with love and don't let them out of your sight!

I thought the same thing. I wondered why she didn't say more given the opportunity, but perhaps she knows something that we don't, like Madeline being dead so she wouldn't hear it anyway.....? Just a thought

EDIT:saraleon - are you saying that if someone commits murder they are incapable of acting 'normally'? Look at Ian Huntley, he helped with the search and talked to the press, he didn't come across as someone who had just killed two young girls. Most people who were there just thought he was a decent bloke trying to help with the search.

EDIT: freethinker's off again with the insults, I'll be glad when the school holidays are over....

If Gerry killed Maddie, how did the wife manage to eat, how did she manage to drink, how did she manage not to throw up or break down in tears when they went to the Tapas bar, knowing her child had just been killed and thrown in the sea?

Conclude away freethinker, but anyone who thinks the McCanns could have acted normally in the bar that night is to my mind equally loopy. The Anti-McCanns skirt difficult questions that deal with the reality here. They treat the whole thing as though it were a murder mystery not real life. If you want to join them good luck. So much for freethinking!

Yeah, I know what you mean. If I was in her situation I'd be devastated, if I was able to actually say anything, it probably wouldn't make much sense, but it would come straight from the heart.

God Bless Maddie.

I agree Dolly K but Maddys nanny probably knew Maddy better than her mother did.

Totally agree with you, what struck me was that she actually looked embarrassed at having to answer the question, i don't think the coldness they have displayed from the start is an attempt to stay in control of their emotions, i think they have no emotions.

I don't believe you anti McCann mob (I use the word mob advisedly), Should bother trying to think about Kate McCann, you are ill equipped for thought. I'm sure the only noise you are equipped to make is Baa Baa, you're outrageously heartless.

EDIT: Saraleon Unfortunately I've seen your comments, and conclude you are completely loopy.

Carr 51, why are you looking forward to the schools re-opening, I guess it's a combination of boredom and a desire to learn so that you don't appear so ill educated, yes I'll be glad when you go back too, at last the one and only thing a person like you and a person like me could ever agree on (I'm proud to say), or in your language woof, woof

I was shocked that's all she said to her little girl. It was probably an unexpected question so they didn't have any answers made up before the interview like they usually do

Couldn't agree more, i see very little real remorse for their actions, whilst the money rolls in, and they live the high life travelling the world as a result of their own stupidity.

God please look after Madeline, wherever she is.
