Despite the ethnic bloodshed in Iraq, majorities of Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds are united in their disapproval of the proposed oil laws that Washington and Big Oil are pushing.

Here we go again.

I thought Iraq had it's own DEMOCRATICALLY elected government?? Iraq of course is but one in a long line of democratically elected governments that were simply destroyed because they refused to do as the US demanded relative to their NATIONAL INTERESTS (READ PROFITS).

America/Americans as polling at the time confirms, were happier than "PIGS IN SH _ _ ) when the vile Bush chose to wage an illegal war in Iraq based upon a pack of filthy lies that has so far resulted in the slaughter of over 400,000 innocent Iraqi civilians.

As these Iraqis are essentially all Arab/Muslims and given Americans (majority) evidenced hatred and demonization and vilification of Muslims ,one understands why these good little monumentally hypocritical Americans manifest little concern for this slaughter and ease their non-existent conscience by referring to these slaughtered innocents as COLATERAL DAMAGE.

CHRISTIANS ?? Don't make me sick !!!

Americans were happier than hell when instead of telling them and the world the truth as to why he was warring against Iraq which was simply for it's OIL OIL OIL ,Bush eased the conscience of these GOOD LITTLE CHRISTIAN
AMERICANS by telling them but another of his filthy friggin lies which was to bring democracy, freedom and liberty to
Iraqis.

It never occurred to these good little Christian Americans to ask why had the US not brought democracy, freedom and liberty to Iraq in the long period of 1979-1990 when the US fully supported the Butcher of Bagdad militarily ,politically and economically ensuring that Iraqis would never get DEMOCRACY LIBERTY AND FREEDOM.

Oil has been the cause of the disconnect between the Iraq government and the people since it was first discovered in the 1920s. Oil has and will remain a sore spot among the Iraqi populace.
When oil was first discovered in Iraq, the king of Iraq quit taxing the people. All the government's funding came from oil. As a result, for decades right up to Saddam, there was no reason for the Iraqi government to be involved with the economy of the nation. The government didn't need a good economy and prosperous citizens to rasie tax revenue. It simply pumped its revenue out of the ground.
There was no reason to educate, build infrastructure (other than pipelines), create parks, or any other projects designed to promote prosperity nor happy citizens.
If the oil revenue is taken any from the people again, there will be much more civil unrest to come in Iraq.
Oil has been a curse on Iraq.

Where exactly is all that oil we were suppose to be stealing and where is the profit from it that was suppose to be paying for this war because I havent seen any of it. For a country that supposedly went to war to take all of Iraqs oil we sure havent benefited much from that socalled stolen oil.

Maybe its time for the Iraqis to look at themselves and pull their crud together. Blaming the US is an easy out. We have given them a golden opportunity to come together and create a free and independent democratic nation and all these groups want to do is seize power for themselves and dominate each other. Dont blame the US for their internal self centered issues.

Why am I not surprised?

They have always been talking about "PROTECTING OUR ASSETS" in Iraq with an occupation force! Now you know what OUR assets are, and have always been!

It is a success if it gets carried out. That is all he wanted in the first place for big oil and his pocketbook! All the killing, the deaths, the drain of our money and the wounded are just happenstance!

Unfortunately,,they probably will unite against America sooner or later thanks to Bush's shameless activities in Iraq and the entire mid east. So much for securing the nation.
