It's neither. Mankind in his great ego, has dictated what is right and wrong and in that prejudices have flourished and been implanted for generations. Homosexuality is a physical drive that cannot be changed although it can be hidden. A person does NOT have to be an expert to answer such a simple question. And if you want an experts opinions for questions that you ask on yahoo answers you are going to have a lot of trouble getting answers. This forum is open to everyone and so is your question.

I don't know how anyone can be an expert on homosexuality, I don't know what kind of studies there are out there. And whose to say that someone who has done years of study would know more than someone who has lived their entire life as a gay man or woman?

Anyway - homosexuality is considered immoral by many people, and without meaning to judge, these people are usually religious, or simply homophobics who don't know any better. To those of us who are homosexual, it's entirely moral, as it should be.

What is immoral is how people condone and judge others without knowing them, how a person can treat another person like filth just because of whom they sleep with, or even simpler things like how they dress or act.

So, no. In my opinion, for whatever it's worth, homosexuality is not immoral.

the real question is, what defines ethical? Is it individual decision? Is it cultural consensus? Or is it something that's transcendent of ourselves? and we'd then ask why is homicide immoral? Is the immorality of homicide based upon the fifty one% + consensus of our lifestyle that that's erroneous? So what happens while that consensus shifts to 40 9% and homicide is not considered immoral by utilising the final public? Does that recommend that we've redefined the morality on the subject of homicide? in reality, morals are something that are transcendent. they don't originate in ourselves. Morality relies upon the character and layout of our writer. homicide is erroneous because of the fact adult adult males have been made in a twin of God, and to homicide yet somebody else is an offense against God, besides because of the fact the victims. And so subsequently homosexuality is immoral. in view that's against God's layout for us. God created us for Himself. we are actually not our own to do as we please. And in case you think of you're, then what's your foundation for that? purely in view that's what you prefer to have self belief? And God created intercourse to be the expression of romantic love between a guy and a woman, with the organic result being the flair of procreation of recent life interior of a relatives. And something outdoors of God's layout for sexuality is an offense to God. present day morality generally hinges upon the trite word, "that's ok as lengthy because it does not harm all of us". yet what this shallow philosophy fails to renowned is that God is a somebody too. And our sin and immorality hurts him, purely because of the fact the misbehavior and insurrection of a youngster hurts his mum and dad.

The morality of homosexualism is depended on your upbringing. If your parents taught it to be immoral, you may think it to be immoral.
If you were brought up to be open-minded, morality has no standing as it is a way of life.

WHO would have that authority, to judge whether something is moral or immoral?

Does God him/herself have a Yahoo Answers account?

Homosexuality is perversion. Man and woman were created (by God) to be together, to concieve children together, and to be married as man and wife. Everyone has a mother and father, not 2 mothers, and not 2 fathers. According to God's word, it is an ABOMINATION for man or a woman to have sex with their same sex. It is not what God intended, nor will it ever be acceptable in God's eyes. It was prophesied in the Bible that in the END TIMES that what is wrong will be considered right, and vice versa. I am not placing judgement on you, I am simply stating that God does NOT accept it. Love the sinner, hate the sin. Homosexuality is a SIN, but it is ultimately a persons choice what sexual orientation they choose. But if they choose to be homosexual, that doesn't make it the RIGHT choice.

I have been a Christian for over 20 years. If that is enough for you, then I can claim authority.

From the Law of Moses, homosexuality was declared a sin. It is then considered immoral, plain and simple.

What the point of the whole thing is: not being homosexual does not make us moral either. Being straight is not a prerequisite to being one of God's people. Trusting God is.

So all the Fundies that judge homosexuals for their sin are actually claiming themselves somehow better than homosexual people. When it really isn't the case at all!

All of us, homosexual or not, are immoral BY GOD'S standards. Our morality would never allow us to be blessed by God, but only our trust in His word.

That is this Christians take on it anyway.

Use common sense.

Who am I to judge you? Who are you to judge anyone else?

Be who you were born to be and let others do the same.

I have a feeling you are a Christian bigot. Bigotry is immoral.
