The van broke down ('66 Chevy) back in 1987 while about 1500 miles from home. We didn't have much money so I got my parents to wire us the money for another motor. We had to live in our van for about a week at the garage, waiting to get it put in. It was really really hot in Rochester that week. My bf and I walked into town everyday to spend some time in an air conditioned mall. At night we sat in our van and played crazy 8's by candlelight and drank a little bottle of orange alcohol stuff (it was cheaper than pop). Finally when we were on our way, we discovered the charging hadn't been properly hooked up so we'd get so far and then have to beg people for a boost (and to let their car run for about half an hour to get us fully charged again). We'd drive as long as we could without turning on our lights, then we'd spend the night in a parking lot someplace. We eventually made it home but it took a long time.

well its kind of a long story but I'm going to make it short, about 5 years ago me and my husband decided to take a trip to TX form SC so i can see my family, driving not flying. Well i was 6 months pregnant and this is what happened it took us 6 days and we never made it we had SO many problems getting stranded in the use truck we had just bought you wouldn't believe it we got stranded on the interstate at 3:00 am had to have the truck told to a local convenient store and slept in the truck because there was no hotel room. One night when it got told again we had to stay in this really expensive hotel that was next to the towing company and it was like 200 a night and a cheesy place not even worth what we paid but we had to stay there unless we wanted to walk oh and we starved that night because pizza hut was closed and McDonald's was right across the street but the inside was closed and they wouldn't let us walk through drive thrue well its a really really long story so ill cut it short but it gets worse.

Our hotel room in Hawaii, on the Waikiki beach, had a crappy view of the ocean, for which we paid big bucks.
