The government is doing nothing. Everytime they do something you have the left (in California at least) crying because the prisons are overpopulated and they did nothing wrong. When in actuality they did.
So in turn they will serve 2 or 3 months for selling meth and cocaine to 10 year olds and go right back to doing it. Because they know that the next time will be no different.
We need to forget about rehabilitation for a little bit and think about incarceration (inprinsonment). Instead of waiting until a person is sitting before a judge for the 5th or 6th time (as is usual) before even thinking about prison, send them straight to prison. Those guys are your rehabilitators, the repeat offenders need to serve some hard time...with no parole.
How can you honestly expect someone to go before a judge 5 different times for 5 different criminal acts and THEN send them to jail for rehabilitation to get out a different person? The first 5 times should have been the wakeup call and now he is beyond rehabilitation.

Drug abuse is not the government's problem. It is a social issue and a community issue. The government only enforces the drug laws.

Drug abuse? I'd put children being raped and killed way over drug abusers who have made the choice to mess their lives up. The innocents NEED protection NOW!!!!!

What is the government doing?
-Funding drug cartels/deathsquads throughout Latin America
-Traffiking cocaine to be distributed in the black communities
-Strenghtening criminal penalties for drug crimes
-Sending the DEA after AIDS and CANCER patients who just want some marijuana for personal use.
-Wasting your tax dollars..not for a "war on drugs" but a war on your personal freedom.
The good careing government doesn't want you smoking weed..they'd rather have you drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes.
I say Fugg what THEY SAY.
Drugs are good.
I love shooting heroine, oxycodone & various opiates.
I love buying eight balls of cocaine, cutting, and sniffing line after line
I love buying ounces and ounces of marijuana and rolling marijuana blunts and cigarettes to celebrate the weekends
but I hate tobacco, and I hate alcohol.
and I hate the DEA, CIA, FBI, The SS, The Gestapo, and all TYRANTS and their minions in general

Solving? The CIA is the main suppliers of drugs and laundered money!
You think they want to "solve" the drug problem? Somehow I don't think they really do! It sounds good, and it is a way to give our money away! That's about as far as it goes!

nothing, legalization and regulation of street drugs is lot cheaper for the tax payer than building prisions all day for the private prison industry

Sadly that's not a joke. See the sentences for crack vs powder cocaine. Primarily black people use crack and primarily whites use powder. The sentence for crack is much, much stricter.
