Okay, let's use some common sense. If the whole purpose, from the initiative was to spread democracy in Iraq, you have to ask yourself, why there?

If you want to spread democracy common sense would tell you that you should choose the easiest place to spread it. That would be Africa, where people would obey you as long as you give them food and shelter. They will be your best friends. You could preach all the democracy you want there.

Second reason why you would want to spread democracy is because people in that country are suffering. Well, people in Africa were and are suffering much more than the Iraqis were under the Saddam regime. I mean, people in Iraq had food. People in Africa are dying due to starvation all the time. The suffering can not be compared.

So, why did Bush want to "spread democracy" in Iraq when he could have done it in Africa?

Conclusion: It's a bullcrap excuse by Bush tgo divert attention from his screwing up.

Africa? Are you serious? How in the hell would that be easier? Just giving them food would not be enough. You obviously need to do some research.

It is stupid on its face! There is no such thing as a country that practices under a straight Democracy. It would be a total failure!

Look, Iran HAD a Constitutional Republic, the same as ours, until we overthrew it and put Saddam in power.

The same can be said about Iran where the CIA, using terrorist tactics, replaced an elected government with the Shaw of Iran.

The US doesn't care 2 cent about democracy! Hell, they keep trying to take our freedoms away!

All this democracy preaching? We have 4000 government agencies, 1 Million lawyers, 25% of the peoples in prizon and jails are from the U.S.A. in all the world. We are 3% of the worlds population and because of our so called freedoms one third of the peoples of this world who are in jails or prizon are because of our so called rights and freedoms.
Lawyers control us, Judges control us, 4,000 government agencies and all the legal power they have over everything we do controls us. What rights do you really have? =land of the free and brave? and we desire to have others be like us? I think they say not as in no thank you. With justice and liberty for all? Not hardly.

Your question is based upon an oversimplification of the facts and therefore, cannot be answered responsibly.

Nice try, though.
