Not really environmental ethics.
It's more about a particular aesthetic attitude. One aesthetic approach is "man over nature," being the placement of monuments upon the face of the earth which express the power and glory of man. The theory is that this represents the highest level of aesthetics. In this sense, yes, Humanism can be seen in his work.
Further, one look at his work demonstrates that the above (modernist) approach is his philosophy. Any claim to the contrary (or token gestures in his projects) is simply an attempt to pay lip service to the "green" movement which is currently in vogue these days.

My bet is yes he did. There is no way Hillary didn't know about this guy. A $20 background check run by the LA Times revealed his criminal background and fugitive status. You can't tell me that her security people let him that close to her on many occasions without running a background check on him. In addition the guy was no fool and only a fool would donate large sums of money through other people and have the candidate not know about it. What would it buy him to do such a thing? Hillary was making millions from this guy. She knew what he was all about and when he got busted she bailed him out and gave him a set of nice new concrete slippers and a new home at the bottom of the ocean.

i havent seen anything where he says, but i would guess , as applies to his architectural works, a form of applied ethics, specifically environmental ethics
the philosophy statement of his company says "that in recognition of architecture being a public art, each project "is sensitive to the culture and climate of its place".
It also says that architecture is generated by the material and spiritual needs of people."
this would /could also fall into the Humanist category of philosophy, which focus on the needs of the human
