I would so love to go to San Francisco!

I would go down Lombard St on a skate board
I would go visit the set of 'Charmed'
Go to Alcatraze
Go eat in China town
Get a taxi ride over the Golden Gate Bridge
Make some 'Gay' friends so they could take me clubbing.

Then the next day go out into the country to a vineyard, sample some wine and buy some to take home.

Then 48 hours over back to the U.K :-)

Get settled in my hotel room, change after the long drive (I imagine myself driving there rather than flying or taking the train), and then go out for a decent meal. Take my time lingering on some great food and drink, then hit a club. Dance the night away with a bunch of total strangers. I'd go alone so that I could meet new people. Exchange e-mail addresses (cheaper than keeping in touch by phone!), go back to my hotel, and knock out. Wake up whenever I felt like it, eat a leisurely meal, then hit a few tourist spots just for the hell of it. Replicate the doings of the night before...and this time maybe hook up with someone. Go to bed, get up, and leave the city before the 48 hours was up.

Okay, so this isn't exactly the way I'd really do it...but in my wildest fantasies that's what I'd do! ;-)

EATING! I love going to San Francisco! I lived there for 5 years! I would have sourdough bread from Boudin's, chocolate from Ghiaradelli, dungeness crab, and clam chowder in a fresh sourdough bowl! Then I would visit some old friends in the Castro, then shop at Macy's on Union Square!

Go to Lombard Street, take a picture of it from the top and bottom.

Take a picture of the classic area the place Full House was styled after. You know, the grassy knolls and hills, the huge multi-story homes, pure blue sky... Milkman and paperboy... Okay I got carried away there..

Even though I've never been on a skateboard before, I'd ride one down all the hilly streets, and probably die.. Or I'd roller-blade it.. and still probably die..
