wet behind the ears is a term for a newborn, for that depression behind the ears is the last spot to dry

Bring home the bacon is a term for a person who works much like breadwinner. You have money to buy food

dark clous-silver lining is that what may seem initially terrible carryies with it an unforseen benefit.

Paint the town red is more split up.

Some ascribe it to native Americans burning down an offending down (red flames) , others feel that you are getting drunk (the red nose). One thought is that you go to the 'red light district', thus painting the town 'red'
