I've seen "rumors" online that Sarah Michelle Gellar is a Republican- is this true?

I would be interested to know, for FACT (not rumor) which celebrities are, indeed, known members of the Republican Party. Most celebrities seem to be left of center, which means independent, Democrat, or Green. I've never read anything from Gellar on her politics though.

Not much either way to be found on her website or any available biographies. Seems like a pretty decent person in any event.

Why would a celebrity's politics matter so much to you? Does it mean you won't watch a movie if you discover someone may be Republican or Democrat?
