There wouldn't have been a habitable niche for humans if the dinosaurs died. Mammals back then were very small and nocturnal. They were able to become more prolific once the dinos were gone.

a million. an excellent sort of the dinosaurs have been lengthy previous a pair of hundred thousand to over a million years earlier the meteorite hit, in straight forward terms 2 species have been left, the two in North united statesa.. 2. the explanation human beings have been watching the time the meteor hit grew to become into because of the fact there grew to become right into a nicely supported die off of an fairly super share of species, like 60%, ordinarily small to microscopic, curiously from a sort of reasons which incorporate better volcanic interest interior the Indian Ocean, etc. See in case you will discover this e book Officer, Charles & Jake internet site the large dinosaur extinction controversy 567.ninety one O32G 1996 which discusses a collection of the failings and the moving claims of the meteorite human beings.

BBC's Horizon "science" series covered this topic recently (it has dumbed down considerably in recent years) and proposed the idea that humans would still have evolved regardless of whether the dinosaurs became extinct.
Personally, I think that is complete and utter tosh. The KT impact and extinction of the dinosaurs are such profound events in natural history it's stretching credibility to believe it would anything other than a profound impact on the course of evolution of ALL species.

It's likely one or more species of dinosaur would have developed intelligence by now, though possibly not intelligence as we think of it. On the other hand, we'll never really know because we can't make an experimental Earth, and the course of evolution is not deterministic - the very essence of genetic change is *random* mutations which are then selected for (or against).

I don't know but I imagine more or less the same, we don't necessarily know about the many creatures that co-exist with us & I don't think dinosaurs would make alot of difference.
(they probably would become extinct anyways)..humans are developing technology but killing nature, another species of dolphins becmame officially extinct last week ;( that put an end to my tuna eating ( the only meat I liked to eat!)
I think we're very curious by nature & technology is going to keep on developing, it will get better & better...but where does it end?

if it didnt hit earth ? i think the dinasours would have still frozen to death from glaciers ( the ones that didnt drown in the floods ) and i think the meat eaters would have starved from not being able to eat the leaf eating dinasours, and i think how ever humans came to be in the first place - they would have come to be be - wether it was from water or god - or a monkey that went bald and started walking straight up - and yes we would have developed technoledgy - probally faster if we were alive with dinsaours - we would have had something pushing us for protection - and shelter besides caves - or simply the same way it happened - maybe the meteor never hit - and maybe things happened the way you say they didnt - and maybe this just is what is

Actually, (to respond to first answer) at that time mammals did live on dry land and were barely bigger than your average rodent. Many were burrowers and obviously needed much less in the way of food to survive.
To answer your question, I dont think evolution would have had us adapt in the same way, in other words, I dont think the species homosapien would have existed, we (being the dominant mammal) probably would have evolved into something better suited to protect itself or at least evade the numerous predators that existed at the time.

well man the dinosours showed that they were dying before the meteor so really we would be seeing a loooooot of little lizards and early mamals because the little mamals would still have survied and evolved to humans while the dinosours would be still adapting

i think what should have been a more advance race because evolution had a drawback when the meteors wiped out the previous race.

Metoer did hit Earth it killed 2/3 of all living creatures. Humans were mammels that lived undersea that surrvived, read youre facts.
Humans would be able to survive probabaly, the coment would killed 2/3 depends on size. Humans would rally togather maybe.
Metoer are considered when a rock enters or lands on Earth different from coment.
