my great granmother past away a long time ago and she told me she was going to leave me all her money when she departs but the problem is her money and bank is in matamoros mexico and other problem we never settled this with a lawyer she just told me that all her money is mine when she departs do i need to get a lawyer for this yes or no?

if you have nothing legally in writing stating this - you have no right to anything of hers, and you would be wasting moeny on an attorney.

Definitely contact an attorney. The laws in Mexico might (and probably DO) vastly differ from those in the US. Here, its the "right of survivor-ship." This means that if you are the only living relative and can prove such, then the money's yours....as long as no one else can lay claim. If it goes to probate (without a will it would), then the attorneys and the courts get their cut before the remaining amounts are divvied up among the relatives.

Definitely talk to an attorney savvy in these things in Matamoros.

Yes if their was no legel will you will have to have a good lawyer taht is willing to go the distance with you ,Im completely in the dark though being that its in a differant country.
