I'm considering going by Grey because Ian is such a common name and sometimes causes confusion. But my question is, which sounds better?

I like Ian and I don't think of it as common.
Grey is great as a last name.

What's up with people not reading the question. The asker is not asking for his son. He's asking for himself! ;o)

I think Ian is handsome and Grey is cute. I prefer Ian to Grey. Maybe Greyson nickname Grey ? I like that more than Ian.

I really like the name Grey, you could always have friends call you Grey and use Ian for work so you don't have to explain yourself as often :)

Ian. Ian is a cool Celtic version of John. It relates to Ioan (Rumania), Joan (Spain), Ivan (Russia), Giovanni (Italy).

Grey is a color. As a name, it can only convey stiffness, rigidity, lack of imagination, and mustard.

C'mon, dude, did you really need to ask?
