quality or quantity. if the exhaust leak is strangling your passengers, it might be worth wrapping up the bugger with a bunch of exhaust paste and yeah sure, a bunch of aluminum foil and tie wire. unless it's a break at a connection. then you'd probably be better off with some flex tubing and cherry bombs. start carrying a fire extinguisher...your date will thank you.

It can be used as gasket material, if you use industrial grade aluminum foil, which is a lot thicker than aluminum foil sold for houshold cooking use.

I really doubt it. Why not just get the exhaust fixed properly, and be done with it. You may even want to put a new Flowmaster muffler on it and gain some good sound.

no sorry it will not be tough enough. what you will need to do is cut the bad section out of your exhaust pipe, and buy 2 muffler clamps and a piece of flex pipe for exhaust at your local parts store.
