MYSTERY British holidaymaker is the latest suspect in the disappearance of missing child Madeleine McCann.

As the vanished child's parents marked 100 days without their daughter at a quiet prayer service yesterday, Portugese police examined a hire car rented by the unidentified suspect.

The man is believed to have flown to Portugal the same day as the McCann family arrived on holiday on April 28.

He is understood to have helped in searches for Maddie after she disappeared on May 3, before returning the car and flying home on May 6.

LG: Don't be so asinine. 'Have you heard?' is a question. It may not be a great question, but it's still a question.

No, i hadn't heard that, but its an interesting development. I had been thinking that all murderers like to re-visit the scene of the crime and very often offer help and support to police and family. But surely if there was an unknown man helping with the search police would have thought that suspicious at the time however genuine the man seemed at the time.? IF she truly was abducted/murdered then the person responsible would be keeping a very close eye on whats happening in the enquiry. He would be visiting Gerry's blog and maybe even visiting here to see the theories people are coming up with... just a thought!

The story is that this 'mystery British tourist' is supposed to have hired a car on the same day as the McCanns arrived and returned it the same day they were due to leave.

Three options

1) This person was on a holiday for two weeks just like the McCanns and thousands of others and wanted a hire car while on holiday. Probably wanted to drive around seeing the local sights while leaving the children in the creche all day just like the McCanns and their ilk.

2) This person was stalking the McCanns, had prior knowledge that the McCanns always leave their children in the creche all day and then leave their older child baby sitting the younger two while they go out on the town all night - and is therefore a possible suspect.

3) This person is either the McCanns themselves or a friend of the McCanns and the Police are at last on their case instead of chasing ghost abductors.

Oh great another suspect. How many more before the mystery is solved if ever. How come the McCann parents are not suspects for neglecting three small innocent children in the first place???????? Anything to draw the law and attention away from themselves.

Whatever, they're never going to find her. I doubt she's still in Portugal, or in western Europe for that matter. They just have no idea. I mean, they didn't even find that blood until the British police got involved.

...and some trolls who write idiotic answers like the one above get exterminated.

God only knows what is going on with that unfortunate child, and I'm starting to think even God is wondering now.
