Well, I predict if our new President is a democrat, we'll have plenty of questions to ask. It's also my prediction these United States will have a big ol' plate of SOS for many years to come.
It'll also be interesting to see what liberals will say when little or nothing changes. The war, the economy, the environment, employment, and the price of gas to bread.

this is actually extremely explainable... just in the thought processes of the two parties...
Republican ideas are based around everything being "self-reliant"... no matter how reasonable or unreasonable that may be in any given situation...
so... if a Republican is "unhappy" it would be viewed as "that Republican's fault" for being unhappy... and basically that person would be admitting that they are a failure... in "Republican-speak"...
they alone are responsible for their own happiness and have failed to deliver it to themselves...
so... even if they aren't really "happy"... Republicans would be much more likely to say they are... since they don't want to be a failure...
Democrats usually accept outside sources as a cause of misery much more and thus it is much more acceptable to be sad and could very well not be a reflection of "who you are as a person" if you are sad...
in other words... it's ok to be a sad democrat and other democrats won't hold you responsible for it...
republicans... well it depends... not all republicans would hold you responsible.. but to be honest to the ideology of the group... many would hold you at least in part responsible, regardless of how you became "unhappy"

looks like the Tea Partiers are particularly the sorrowful ones. Is there ever a time whilst they do no longer seem to be indignant or unhappy approximately some thing? expert overprivileged whiners do no longer galvanize me.

Maybe because we care too much.
We see someone who needs help, for whatever reason, we want to try to help them.
I've seen a lot of people on here when someone asks about, oh, let's say, universal health care, the response from them is "Oh well, not my problem. Maybe it would be better off if you just died."
See? That makes me sad. I was raised to believe that we were suppose to care about each other and help each other and I don't see that coming from a lot of republicans. Sorry.

Oh yes the happiness barometer. When you're losing the battle on the field whip out the happiness charts. LOL, you guys are really pathetic. Let's talk about the real issue and that's of the PNAC failures and the failures of the Bush administration. BTW, most of the people in this country are very very unhappy with the direction this administration has taken us. We don't like Nanny States for the rich and corporate where money and greed are your GOD.

i think liberals are very distrought individuals. they all have insecurities about themselves, so they project that into everything they do. ex, they all have lots of money to spend because they have high powered jobs, so they want to give it to the goverment in taxes, because they are divorced, and have no family. they feel very bad about the lives they lead and the lives that they endorse in washington. i could go on.

You don't have to tell me. I had a Lib tell me in a rather loud voice that he was agitated and irritated because Bush has not fired Gonzales just two days ago.
I almost laughed.....

The Iraq War, massive deficit, the enviornment being destroyed by global warming, US alineation of the rest of the world, the widening of the gap between the rich and the poor, the lack of decent health care in the US, the strenghtening of big business and lobbying group's abilities to influence the government, ect...
