It just feels that way right now. Loss of a marriage is a pretty crushing blow. But there is a lot left to live for. Never fear, much brighter days are ahead. You have to find a way to remember that the pain is temporary and grow from it. The first time you fell down and scraped your knee as a toddler, you probably wished you were dead instead of having to feel the pain. But you would have missed a lot of life, right? This really isn't that much different except that it's psychological pain and much more challenging to see through. Look for small things that you can be optimistic and grateful for. Even little stuff like not having to cook for someone else or being able to watch a good tv show in peace can help you get through the dark times and get your mind off of it. Eventually, you heal from a broken heart and you'll be glad you didn't indulge all of the negative thoughts.

The hope that there will be something along the way... and well, there is never really such a thing as "nothing to live for." Well, I guess there is, like when you dont' have any family, no loved ones, nowhere to live or eat... like homeless people: they only they stay alive is 'cause they have a few loose screws in the head... so sad.

What keeps me going is knowing something, some day good will happen, you have you to live for.....times get tough and i know people go through aweful things that one should never go through but this is the only life you will ever have and wont' it drive you crazy not knowing what may be ahead for you, The Lord keeps me going, knowing that he gave his life up for me, but some people don't believe in God which is fine, and if you don't then you at least need to look inside yourself and tell yourself that you need to live for you.....so you can find happiness and it's hard and it may be a long road but you will find happiness

You always have something to live for: if you can't think of someone else than live for yourself. Live to grow old. Live to learn all that you can. Live to enjoy the beauty this world holds. Just Live.

*thinks*...... i dont know, really i don't. I'm simply coasting through life right now.... feeling empty and numb and void of hope....... fighting daily to survive and keep my head above water....

i'd say prayers.... definitely prayers.
I'm a firm believer in the obvious truth that i'd be dead and buried already if someone (at least one person) wasn't out there somewhere, praying for me.
