Depends on where you are at. I'm in Houston, TX... so the almost daily rains of the past 3 months made it a lot cooler for us. Going the past 2 weeks without rain has been miserable... highs in the upper 90s, humidity at 70-80% and the heat index pushing it up towards 112. Arrrgh!
Our winter was much milder than usual... it didn't get cold enough to kill the fleas here.

While this summer is hotter, last year we had a storm. Here in St. Louis, some neighborhoods were without electricity for 6 days or more. On top of that, a lot of Ameren UE workers died trying to get our power restored & we even had to call in Ameren workers from other states! Nope, last year was the worst summer of my 26 years on this planet.

the war is wearing our military to the bone
and we are more worried bout Paris Hilton getting out of jail than drugs on the street.

Not worse or better, this summer hotter and dryer than last year.
But the rain last summer wasn't so hot.
70* cool breeze no humidity, sun and no rain would be almost perfect.
